transcode - enabling import modules.

when i use transcode and try to rip a dvd with the command
transcode -i /dev/hdc -x mpeg-2[,mpeg-2] -o /home/fc/DVD/ -y ffmpeg[,ffmpeg] --no_split

i keep getting the warning :
/usr/lib/transcode/import_mpeg-2].so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

but when i look in that directory it shows that those files are there.

how can i enable the import modules or export modules ( if export modules have to be enabled)?

Are the rights of the .so set correctly? As root, open a console and do a
chown <your_login_name> <path_to_the_dot_so_file>
chmod +755 <path_to_the_dot_so_file>
then try again.

BTW you may also want to take a look at mencoder, which is part of the mplayer package, see www.mplayerhq.hu.
