Transaction Check Error when updating RHEL 5

Hi All,

Bit of Linux newbie myself so decided to post it here. I'm trying to update Red hat but am getting an when running transaction test. Heres what I get after running "yum update"

file /usr/lib/cups/filter/textonly from install of cups-1.3.7-26.el5 conflicts with file from package redhat-config-printer-0.6.47.3.23-1

Appriciate any help in getting around this, do I need to uninstall some of these packages before running yum updates again?

seeing as you have a paid for license have you looked up this error on the red hat help database ?

The first thing i do with yum errors is to clean the yum DB

Code:

yum clean all
rpm --rebuilddb
yum update

also you can break the update into 3 or 4 parts ( or even just 2 )

i bet that there is a kernel update in there
install that one first

yum update kernel*

as to cups

what third party repos are installed ?
rpmforge WILL be in conflict with RHN
to see
