I have recently installed Linux mint on my 2007 mac book pro and i found that my touch pad/track pad is not as sensitive as it was running the mac os. i can no longer move my cursor with the tip of my finger.
all replies are appreciated.
Glad to here you got gnu/linux working on a mac.The touchpad event works by gsynaptic on Gnome, or so I'm told, you might want to put that in the synaptic package manager,. It's a case of knowing what is relevant, dpkg-query -s (or, 'L') then the package name, might help, assuming that it is debian based. I think this is a minor issue and if all else is ok then why worry.
you can change the sensitivity and speed of the mouse pointer.
Goto System Settings -> select the mouse and touchpad icon. Then click on Touchpad tab and at the bottom you will notice 2 scroll bars:
1. to increase the sensitivity and another to increase the speed of the pointer.
Hope it helps
Thanks for the ideas. i tryed to install "gsynaptics" but nothing changed. i have an icon called "mouse" and that has three sub folders, general, Accessibility, Touchpad. in the "general" sub folder under pointer speed there is a high, low slide for sensitivity. but that dosent seem to help.
