The Primary Group ?

What the Primary Group for a user changes?

Lets say I have myuser which is member of root and apache (with apache as primary group). Will it have any effect?

Sure it can have an effect. Think of this way. If this user created a document that was his then since he is in the primary group is the permissions are 750 then no other user will have access.

However I really would suggest not making a user a member of root. That can cause serious damage.
