Text Editor

Hello, I have an Android Tablet, and can get to the
shell with an emulator. I can move around ok, up
and down directories, ls-l, etc. just fine.

I can't get to superuser.

anyway I've tried emacs, vi, and pico with no luck.

any suggestions?

thanks, Carl

Unless you are 'rooted' and installed extras like busybox it ia unlikely you will have a text editor for shell sessions

You could try nano , but I doubt it will have that.

Best I can offer for a non-rooted Andriod is the "vim touch" app, on the 'play' store.

without root your options are limited.
