ten tweaks

Hi!

I'm a newbie of AA1 linpus lite and im trying to install the 10 tweaks for AA1. But im having a hard time in this section (see below)

AA1 TIPS 6

The AA1 desktop... with new Skype, VLC and Gimp icons

"Other apps are kept in the AA1's /usr/share/applications folder as .desktop files. You can add these to the desktop UI by editing the group-app.xml file as above, copying the Skype line, pasting it into any of the four sections and changing the name of the app to be loaded. Make sure all the apps in a section - indicated by the <id>x</id> tags - have different app sequence= numbers."

Do i have to type something in the terminal? do i have to go on the website? where will i do the editing?

i cant understand the whole paragraph...

please help.

At the command line or in a graphical text editor.. yes you would need to modify that file.

Theres additional info on customizing the GUI HERE and it touches on that same topic but still doesn't go into great dertail

Also a video is available.. Installing app and Icon on Desktop of AA1

and add your own desktop icons

That should get you rolling again I think..
