SO, am i missing something, is there another way to run QTParted?

I'm sorry. I misunderstood. I thought QTParted was on a different disk (which I now realize makes no sense
). I've never used this disk, but the error makes it sound like a bug on the disk. I am guessing
run_qtparted is a script. If you are comfortable with reading scripts you can take a look at it and see if you can figure out what is going wrong. And maybe be the first to post a solution!
Otherwise you might want to just try the GParted live CD which you can download
here. An article on how to use the GParted live CD is
here.
Or, you can burn a KNOPPIX live CD (or live DVD), which contains QTParted. In this case you can access it from the menus. I have started QTParted on an older version of KNOPPIX w/o problem, although I didn't actually do anything with it. (I was just exploring!)
