sylpheed claws

can anyone answer this question?
I use sylpheed claws as my email client. seemed to install correctly. Receive and send emails out fine.
I have several directories under my main mail category however here is the issue.
after the first seven directories the emails don't show when the program is brought up I constantly have to do an update summary then all the emails show but come back as unread. This is a real pain.

I have looked at all the preferences tried several changes and I can't make the other directories work correctly.

The first seven like inbox show all emails which are read and unread. If I take one of the other directories and copy the structure inside say the inbox directory then it works correctly. I did not have this problem when using sylpheed in debian only now since I moved to FC4.

sylpheed claws is the unstable version of sylpheed. You have probably encountered a bug in sylpheed. You should take a look at sylpheed bugzilla for a solution or to report the bug if it hasn't already been reported.

If you are unwilling to act as a beta test site for sylpheed then you should install the stable sylpheed.

Debian has a policy of only distributing stable versions of programs. Fedora has a policy of distributing bleeding edge versions of programs.

This answer is just plain silly.

Sylpheed-Claws is the extended version of Sylpheed. It is not the unstable version of Sylpheed.
By using Sylpheed-Claws you are not acting as a 'beta test site for sylpheed'. Sylpheed-Claws is as stable as Sylpheed.

To the original poster: Use the Sylpheed-Claws support forum (or subscribe to the users' mailing list) and you will be a lot more likely to get a valid answer to your questions, and from the developers of Sylpheed-Claws.
