swap space


if I increase swap space in Linux using swapon command whether it will effect Linux memory size ? I like to know if we keep on creating swap file is there any limit beyond which we cant create any swap space ? how to do a check on this ?

It is not clear if you're talking about a swap device or a swap file. Anyway, the issue has been debated recently. Take a look here for some insight.
