SWAP Size

Can we increase SWAP size dynamically without bringing down the machine? If so how?

well yes you can make a new swap file using mkswap and then add it to the system using swapon but more swap is just about never the answer to anything.

to make a new blank file you can run "dd if=/dev/null of=/myswapfile bs=1024 count=102400" and this will create a 100mb file you can then use with mkswap.

Or you can also have partition as swap. You can approach this using fdisk, or Gparted if you like GUIs.
