Unhappy Suse 9.3 X server problem

I recently installed yahoo messenger on my Suse 9.3 and after i did a reboot i can't login anymore on my X server. The x login screan apears, i enter my user and password and then i'm promted to do that again. If i type a bad password it says that it's invalid username or password. If i type the good one, nothing happens. I uninstalled the yahoo messenger package and i reinstalled all packages that started with xorg.... Nothing seems to help.
