Successful and failed logins for 7 days


Good day is there a option with last command that I can use to view the last successful and failed logina for 5 days ? Running Slackware 13.37

I don't think last will display failed logins.
However, a quick search shows that there's lastb specifically for that purpose.

IIRC, it's part of the initial setup. The default is not to log failed user logins but to notify root of failed root login attempts with a mail to /var/spool/mail/root.
