Hi,

did you try running "subscription-manager" as the error message instructs?

Hi,

You are aware that RHEL isn't a free product? To be able to connect to their repositories you need to register your product first, once that is done you have access.

If you are a paying costumer, use the subscription manager and fill in your credentials to to get activated and have access to the repository/repositories.

Hope this helps.

Hi,
OK.....actually the server is not connected to Internet and will never be connected. I think that is the reason it is showing this msg.
We already have purchased the subscription.
is there any way to install it manually? or any suggestion to stop this msg keep coming?

ahmollick,

What exactly you were trying to do which gives you that error? Were you trying to install or upgrade any package?

There's a daily cron job that runs this check, you'd need to delete that from the /etc/cron.daily directory.

Hi,

Have a look at this thread here at LQ: Registering rhel 5.3 and patching without internet access

Or contact Red Hat support: Customer Portal (you need to be logged in).

Hope this helps.
