[SOLVED] Stuck on installing tex-common...need advice on commenting out the problem

I upgraded to Ubuntu 16.04 about and hit this tex-common problem. I found a solution here, which needs me to comment out lines to cancel out lines 2093 and 2094. I have absolutely no idea how to do that...can anyone help me out.

Edit: I've just fixed it...I ran through the steps I'd done before and I got a list of files and an option to auto remove them...so I did and the problem is sorted! I'm well chuffed with myself

Thank you for this...I tried to find the post after my edit but it wasn't showing up. Apologies for any confusion I may have caused; a case of getting distracted by my own success
