sticky: kernel?

I'm flying all over this board just to find the (step-by-step) thread on (re)compiling the kernel. I hate to say I can't find it. Nvidia drivers has its sticky, could a mod make the best kernel compile thread sticky aswell? Would be realy nice to see a good thread about upgrading/recompiling an existing kernel/installing kernel sources......and so on. There is a lot to be found on the board but you have to go to 100000 threads to find what you need. Since this is so often done by many it might be good to have it sticky. Just a thought (of a stuck kernel recompiler)

Regards
