Starting Networking

I'm having extreme difficulty in getting on-line, or even starting Networking, with Backtrack 5 (KDE 64). Are there any tutorials I can use to do so, or maybe I could find a "Tutor" who have nothing better to do to tutor me in the use of Backtrack ?

When you need a major training session, it's best to start with google. I put into google for you "backtrack getting online" and the first entry was http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIyN8IzluEQ.
Once you get started, and can post what you have done and what particular problems (including any error messages) you are getting, you are more likely to get help. "Teach me a subject" is unlikely to solicit [useful] response!
