hi LQ Forum,
I am facing strange problem.I have an ibm blade server installed Red hat 5 on it. Whenever i connect it with SecureCRT or Putty it disconnect after some time and after hitting few times to get session. It responds and login. When session disconnect the server ip still pinging sucessfully.
One thing which i observed that when i start ping to that server with '-t ' (ping ip-address -t), the ssh session never disconnect.
Please guide me whats going wrong.
Thanks for everyone.
just show that connection disconnected, after some hits he allow me to again login.
Otherwise no error show to me where i guess whats actual problem.
As i mention in thread that when i start ping command on client server then server never disconnected. Mean some strike on server issue.
Thanks for reply suicidaleggroll & bakdong
Do you have access to the router that the server is connected to?
My router when logged in I can see all devives connected & ping them if they have network connectitvity.
Do you have any time out settings on the server. Also check in Putty setting under the Category - Connection, that number in "seconds between keepalives" is set to 0.
