ssh and protocol


suppose i i say ssl a particular machine and use some protocol for communication....... does it sound proper....isnt ssl alrdy a protocol for communication or v can have ssl+some protocol working together ??

You would usually combine SSL with another protocol, for example when you use internet banking you should be connecting to https://... , which is HTTP+SSL.

kbp is correct. Your SSL cert just means your connection is more secure. A lot of times (if you have your server hosted with a data center) they can set up the SSL for you.
