refresh_pattern \.ram$ 999999 20% 99999 override-expire ignore-reload
refresh_pattern ^http: 999999 20% 99999

i want using .ram extension i want to cache it and enforce squid if end user do refresh to keep user take from cache what is the option? i use override-expire ignore-reload but didn't work! moreover, i always got in logs like :

for your ".ram" extensions, don't you need to add a "ignore-no-cache" and "ignore-no-store" options to counter directives from the webserver not to cache .ram files?

Also, you are ignoring reload requests but what about the "refresh-ims" option to convert users "refresh" requests into if-modified-since requests?

TCP_REFRESH_UNMODIFIED = The requested object was cached but STALE. The IMS query for the object resulted in "304 not modified".

Also, unless I am mistaken, these refresh_pattern rules are read in order, like a firewall table. So your "catchall" rule
Code:
refresh_pattern . 0 20% 4320
should be last.
