Good to see that the modem works.

I had the same problem and left the nic disabled.


I run Windows to get the internet on the lan until I can solve this one.

It took some time before I could ask a friend to help me installing the LAN with a working Speedtouch driven Internet connection. The main problem was that I tried the DrakConnect wizzard. Installing the local area netwerk in Mandrake should be done with the Internet share wizzard DrakGw and not with the DrakConnect. DrakConnect causes a mix up of the internet and the LAN and a total disconnection. The biggest problem, installing the LAN and keeping a working Internet connection was the Firewall. Now it works fine, as far as I can see.
