Sound Card config on Drake 9.1

Hey! I installed Linux 2 days ago, and got GNOME working and have everything I need EXCEPT Sound. I'm not sure how to config it, and I know I shouldn't have my hand held

, but I've looked for 2 hours and still can't do it.

Please help me.

what sound card?

you have to put in more info about things, it doesn't help us out to see, "help, my sound doesn't work" when we dont' know what card you have.

I don't know how to find out what card I have on Linux. Can you help me with that? Then we can tackle configuring it.

Open the Mandrake Control Centre, go into Hardware and Hardware List. That will list all your hardware....

I a A7V8X and i got the same problem. It is a Realtek Audio codec (manual really cryptic about it) and i´ve checked the alsa drivers and it´s using VIA 82xx driver i think... would be nice if anyone knows what´s the problem.
