Sound card (an old dusty one)

I just put redhat 6.2 on one of my computers (It's got an AMD k-6 processor and 64 meg of memory, that's why) and I'm wondering if the sound card that I have in there will work. It's not on the list of supported cards (so I can't just click on it when I go to configure) and I get no sound when it tests for it.
Before I go through all the trouble of trying to set it up manually (which I'm still not entirely clear on, but hey, gotta start the learning curve somewhere) will it even work, or should I just put in another card that's on the list?
I suppose it might help if I tell you that it's an acer magic s20.

usually u could just select the basic sound blaster driver and it should work. i did that on an old comp where i had no idea what the sound card was. when it asks for the irq and dma settings, keep tryin till u hear something.
