SNMP Error

Hi,
I am trying to install the NET-SNMP-5.4.3. For that purpose i have changed my config file

In /etc/default/snmpd :
export MIBDIRS=/usr/share/snmp/mibs
SNMPDRUN=yes
SNMPDOPTS='-Lsd -Lf /dev/null -u snmp -g snmp -I -smux -p /var/run/snmpd.pid'
TRAPDRUN=yes
TRAPDOPTS='-Lsd -p /var/run/snmptrapd.pid'
SNMPDCOMPAT=yes

Initially TRAPDRUN=no was there i have changed it to "yes".

After that i tried to start the snmp service by command
$ sudo service snmpd start
Then it is giving the following error
* Starting network management services: /usr/sbin/snmptrapd: symbol lookup error: /usr/sbin/snmptrapd: undefined symbol: init_notification_log

please help me i was structed at this error from two weeks..

Thanks & Regards,
Md.biyabani.

I'd guess you installed this from source? If you install through standard packages in your distros package management sstem you should be able to get errors like this.

You can never include "all" libraries as eventually that covers half of the OS.

you should use your package management system. Don't download packages from websites unless you KNOW you need to.

just use the package management system on your OS, like I've already said. You've not said what yourOS is, so I can't tell you what it is.
