Question Slackware12: Using GC79 modem in Slackware (GPRS & Wifi)

Hi all,

My name is Lee. Recently I just dump Windows and turn to Linux. Since I am a real newbie in Linux, I found it really hard to make my modem works.

I have a T23 installed with Slackware12 with GC79 pcmcia card.
SE doesn't provide driver for Linux and I do not have skills to make my modem work.

Please do help me in some of these question:
How to detect a hardware in Linux?
How to check which tty is my GC79 modem?
How to use the GC79 GPRS and Wifi function in Slackware12?

Thank you.

Kind regards,
Lee
