Hello Linux friends thank you for allowing me into your group. I have just recently decided to become a computer programer so i am as new a newbie as there is. I am getting started with Linux while also starting on Python. I am trying to make due with a refurbished 2011 Mac Mini using Parallels to run Windows 10 before having to invest in a new computer. I also consider this my expendable computer in case i really mess something up. I would like to install Slackware but the torrents wouldn't install so i got directed here trying to take the next step. Appreciate any advice.
Did you try the FTP if you cant get a good iso, its pretty good and has a lot of versions , its not a torrent but still
: http://ftp.slackware.com/pub/slackware/
Or is your problem whit the install of slackware , what CPU does that PC have , try a 32 bit ISO
you do not install torrents. they are just a file that tells the torrent client where to get the file, download an iso of slack you want. then burn it to a usb stick. then install it.
(do not mind the version that link is showing, it is still the same procedural steps.)
