Question Slackware - KDE Resolution Problem

I have just done an installation of Slackware 13 on my laptop, everything installed fine, the laptop booted up fine first time into the command line.

I typed in 'startx' and KDE starts to load but freezes before the desktop shows up, also it seems like the resolution is set to 1600x1600, as I cannot see all of the screen and I am able to move my mouse pointer into the invisible part of the screen.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

# [Ctrl][Alt][+] - switch to next X server resolution (if the server is set up for more than one resolution)

# [Ctrl][Alt][-] - change to previous X server resolution
