Slackware 9

I ppl 2 questions

I have just installed slackware for the first time and my wheelmouse doesn't work I have looked in the forums and found what to enter "Option "ZAxisMapping""4 5"" but in slack 9 I am lost on where to enter this.

I remember reading a thread somewhere that I can recompile a i386 package to a i686 but I don't know how. So if someone can show me how to point me in the right direction that would be great

TIA

You should add

Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"

in the mouse/pointer section of your /etc/X11/XF86Config file. Notice the quotes on there--you need them like this. You also need the space between the 4 and 5. If you need any further help on how to do this with a text editor, let me know and I'll try to walk you through it using vi.
