sh script

Hi,

I would like to make and sh script which once executed would do the following:

set MY_VAR = 5 and then open a site http://mydomain.com/test.php?value=MY_VAR

when I use lynx, it opens me the lynx browser, I dont want that, I just want it to internalty visit the link and set the variable overthere.

Any ideas?

you want to basically get a value to a remote location? sounds like a job for curl really...

MYVAR=5
curl http://mydomain.com/test.php?value=$MYVAR
