what distro are you using?

If you are using Red Hat or CentOS you can use kickstart and place the kickstart file on an ftp, http, or nfs share. For ubuntu you can use the preseed file and do the same place it on a ftp, http, or nfs share and when booting point to that preseed file.

Thanks, but the server is on cloud and the host Data Center did not having the image mirroring options so need to do this with rsync only J

To do it better we need to exclude network(IP) config files and /proc and /var/log so let it be tell anyone which files or folders need to exclude.
