Right, as I said, you are using the vesa driver. You need to change your xorg.conf file so that you are using the radeon driver instead.

can u plz help me out for making changes.i am an complete newbie regarding manipulation of files.

Just try starting X without any xorg.conf file. As root, run 'mv /etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.conf.vesa' and then reboot.
