Setting Default GUI

Hi,

I'm using Fedora Core 3 and was trying to figure out how to set the default GUI environment.

Thanks for any suggestions

I think it is set in /etc/rc.conf at the line XSESSION="". At least that's where it is on my Gentoo box.

Dont know if this works in fedora but try " xwmconfig " from the console . Try as user and root. If it works, the rest is self explanatory.

Well i couldn't find an /etc/rc.conf file, nor did the "xwmconfig" command work.

Any other ideas?

Thanks.

There is a GUI program, but you can also use the console program switchdesk. Just type switchdesk kde (or whatever you want to switch to) into the console.
