Hi,

welcome to LQ!

Assuming that you've googled, and haven't come across similar cases and/or
explanations my best bet is faulty hardware. Get a live-cd with memtest
on it and check your RAM.

Cheers,
Tink

[edit]p.s.: I really assume the above - that is, I didn't try to search
for your problem myself[/edit]

yeah i did google a alot... most cases says its a centos bug... coz this bug isnt exists for rhel. hardware is fine... scsi card we just purchased adaptec Ultra320 29320LPE and IBMeserver xseries model:IC35L036UWDY10-0 its a 68Pin HDD.

everything seems to be runnning fine.... the only thing it doesnt generate the scsi id with the command: dlhostid -q
the host id is very imp to us..

if you find any solution i would really appreciate tht....

i tried to install the RHEL 4 U6 but the installation hangs whn it detects the SCSI card... and its loading forever..
i tried to load the drievrs with command linux dd
but no success...
these are the two kernel version which we want to use...
Kernel 2.6.9-22 and Kernel 2.6.9-34

Regards,

Siddesh
