Security Auditing on RH9, 2.4.20-8, Aironet 350, RFMON

I know there are several sources out there to aid in configuration of the Cisco Aironet 350 PCMCIA Card to enable monitor mode, but none of them seem to work for me. I want to set up a spare laptop for my company to audit the security on our wireless access points. I think I will use applications like Kismet and AirSnort to secure the points, WEP, and monitor any additional radio traffic (Unless anyone knows of any better or more efficient applications).

The problem is, I am able to set up the Cisco card and ACU and access the internet. On this laptop, I don't care about accessing the internet, just monitoring radio traffic and attempting WEP crack to enable more secure keys. Could anyone provide a step by step process to help me with this. I have tried the airo-linux drivers and patches, not sure if I did them properly, but I have not enabled monitor mode as of yet. The Cisco firmware was flashed to the older version 4.25 I believe.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
