Question Screen Lock failed!!!!!!!!!


Hi,
I am using Redhat 8.0.
Whenever i click on 'Screen Lock' button on panel or press Alt+Ctrl+l, it does nothing.
I am uanable to lock my computer.

Make sure xscreensaver is running.

Yes its running.
$ ps -ef | grep xscreensaver
ashishsr 2410 1 0 Jun23 ? 00:00:01 xscreensaver -nosplash
root 12618 12577 0 09:25 pts/5 00:00:00 grep xscreensaver
$

Should i reinstall it?

you can create a shortcut to xscreensaver-demo -activate but you shoul password protect your screen saver at all times

first run xscreensaver-demo from command line and set a password for the screen saver then go to desktop and create a shortcut to xscreensaver-demo -activate the when you double click it your system will be locked.
