Question saving file

hello,
I have problems saving a file to the fat32 partition that i mounted in linux and can save it in as root but not as an user. I try to save it as an user and it give ne this message:
Error saving Untitled1:
/mnt/mydocuments/share/myebooks/test.doc does not exist
I can save it in my user home file but when i try to copy it to fat32 it says that i dont have permissions to write to this folder.
Whatt can i do to fix this??

You have to change permissions. It's a little problem though, fat32 doesn't support permissions, so you have to chown and chmod the whole partition. Say that your partition is /mnt/fat

Then you do a chown user /mnt/fat if you want user to own it.
Then you do a chown 755 /mnt/fat i.e. because then user can do everything with the stuff in it and everybody else can read and execute everything in it.

If it complains, umount it first: #umount /mnt/fat
and try again.
