Samba printserver problems
Hi, i'm new to linux and i'm trying to set up linux printserver running Fedora Core 2 with Samba 3.0.3 on a network with w2k dc and w2k/xp clients. I bought a book about samba and used it as a guide to set up the printserver. Now, i think i've done it by the book. But there is a problem, however. When i try to access the printserver from any win client or server i get en error message like this: Incorrect password or unknown username for \\machinename
I've tried every possible security level config. but still the same result. I've given the printserver an account in the domain like this: net rpc join -U administrator%pwd
Here is my smb.conf
[global]
lpq cache time = 20
guest ok = yes
show add printer wizard = yes
public = yes
use client driver = no
netbios name = NNAME
printing = lprng
password server = pdcname
wins server = winsname
default = printers
path = /var/spool/samba
workgroup = WORKGROUP
printcap name = /etc/printcap
security = domain
total print jobs = 50
[printers]
comment = All Printers
path = /var/spool/samba
browseable = no
public = yes
guest ok = yes
writable = no
printable = yes
printer admin = @Administrators, root
[print$]
comment = Printer Drivers
path = /etc/samba/drivers
browseable = yes
guest ok = no
read only = yes
write list = @Administrators, root
Any help is highly appreciated.
