Samba or Sharing w/ Windows Box

on my home network I have a windows 2000 box and a recent HDD install of Knoppix 3.4

I clicked on the little pinguin and then started the samba service in order to get windows and linux sharing files, but for whatever reason I do not know how to get to the windows box and I don't know how to get to linux box

the linux box is called amd400 while the windows box is called amd2k sounds straightforward doesnt' it?

Have you installed and configured Samba on your Linux box? If not, that is the place to start. Here is a link to help you out. http://us1.samba.org/samba/docs/using_samba/toc.html

There is a section on how to configure windoze, as well as configure Samba.
