SAGEM f@st 800 in fedora core 3

Hello there, new to the forum, Nice to be here, hope u can help me and i could sometime help you back as it is my job(ISP support agent) and i would gladly do that

I am 20yo and i've been using linx for 1-2 years now.

ANyways here i Go

I am using Sagem Fast 800 on windows Xp and it works fine..I am now Trying to install the modem On fedora Core 3 linux and i am having some problems.

I downloaded the eagle usb drivers form the sagem site and i followed all the instructions that were described on the PDF that is online on the same site...

I am facing the following problem: When i am typing "/.configure", the procedure starts and everything seems fine but at the end of it there is a warning appearing on my terminal. It says " that the $PATH did not include /usr/local/sbin" and i might be having problems running scripts. it also recommends for an update of .bashrc if i am using bash. Anyway, i am continuing with make and make install and it all looks fine, untill i have to run eagleconfig, which is not running as it is not recognized as a command...i copied the script from the script folder to sbin and bin and then when i type eagleconfig again it just comes to prompt again..

I am running as root and i am working on it for 3 days without much luck.

any ideas would be highly appreciated as the whole installation process would be further explained to other people as it would be used for educational purposes.

thanx in advance!

Spiros

i use suse and got the drivers working with no hitch with this tut:

http://faq.eagle-usb.org/wakka.php?wiki=InstallSuseEn

its for suse so you might have to change afew things but i think the only different thing is how you are told to install the needed packages.
