i can't seem to install mplayer. i got all the dependencies, but when i type rpm -i * to install everything, i get an error mesage:

file /usr/share/man/man1/mencoder.1.gz conflicts between attempted installs of mplayer-common-0.90-1 and mplayer -0/90-fr2 and two more of the similar erro rmessages.

try installing them individually. and make sure you take care of all the dependancies as they are asked, and then install the mplayer package.

You will have to remove the old copy of mplayer with rpm -u (for uninstall) name_of_package

you cant install mplayer packages individually because of a circular dependencies of all three packages. So its all in one line, like this:

rpm -Uvh mplayer-common-0.90rc3-1.i386.rpm mplayer-gui-0.90rc3-1.i386.rpm mplayer-skin-default-1.6-3.noarch.rpm

and like others suggestet rpm -e the older package
