I just want to know that if I install a redhat package from 7.2 or 7.1 or 7.3 installation CD.....then can I install it at redhat 8 or 9..if I can then will it work properly....pls help...
Not usually, however it depends on the package itself, and the type of RPM it is. On the larger packages, it's going to be less likely, however on something very small, and self-contained, you'll have a bit more success.
