RH9 How many partitions can I create?

I've got a 160 GB drive and want to create many 2GB partitions for a database but I'm being limited to 16 by RH9. Why?

limited to 16 gigs or 16 partitions? ... I run slackware (which judging from /dev/hda*) will allow up to 32 partitions. I also use cfdisk to setup my partitions ... what are you using in redhat to setup partitions? do you have cfdisk available to you?
