repeat key disabled. how to enable it again?

i may have accidentally disabled the function where you press and hold a key, say 'k' and it will repeat until u let go right? like this ; kkkkkkkkkkkk
now i have to press the key, for every single character..
and it's very annoying, especially when scrolling.. HMMMM
i tried to enable it again at the accessibilities option using X windows..
but didn't change anything..
is there another place i can go to enables this function again?

oh.. i'm using redhat 8.0 by the way..
