Exclamation removing php


hey linux lovers...

i installed php-5.0.3 from using a source. i configured and installed it... but now i need it to remove.. since i installed using source i cant remove it using the rpm -e command:: can anyone help me to remove it.. i want to install a fresh one...


thanks in advance...

The easiest solution if not the "kosher" one, is to simply install the new version as if you had never installed the old version. As their pointers will point to different things, and similarly named generic links will overwrite older ones, you should be in good shape. Now, this isn't a perfect solution, but it works, and it gives you time to look up the various directories that are involved, or find whatever uninstall php comes with.
