RedHat - Test Lab

Hi

I am in the process of beginning to learn Redhat. Has anyone set-up or have any ideas about setting up a Test Lab on VMware to simulate a Redhat environment?

Any ideas/good advice would be greatly appreciated

Many thanks

Great!
Do you know GNU/Linux basics or would this be your first installation ever? Would you like to read about it? (http://tldp.org/LDP/intro-linux/html/, http://www.linux.org/lessons/beginner/toc.html, http://linux.2038bug.com/rute-home.html, http://www.scottklarr.com/topic/115/...te-collection/)
Do you know what Red Hat and Red Hat Enterprise Linux are about? Would you like to read about it? (www.redhat.com)
Do you know there are distributions that mimick RHEL but aren't? Would you like to read about it? (www.centos.org)
Are you familiar with VMware and the product you will choose to run? Would you like to read about it? (I'm sure you can find that one yourself)

What would be the purpose? Are there any specific wishes or requirements? Elaborate!

Yes. you can accomplish this with CentOS 5.3.
The main server could be centos and 2 centos virtual machines.
I can be more specific if you can be?

Maybe you can get a hold of a 8gb usb stick and install RHEL or CentOS there. Then try to configure as much services as possible. This method also enables you to try RHEL Virtualization and you should have more performance than when you run a virtualized environment.
