Red Hat 7.1 Fire Wall

Hey guy's!!! How ur doing??? I need to get some information about the whole fire wall thing. Or really a step by step walk thru...
I'm planning to run a ftp server i need it really secure. So i would like as much info as possilbe. So far i have it running and can ftp it but i need to create users for it for upload and download. Can some one help me out please. Security is a major issue.

firewalling & ftp

for rh71, i'd recomend using iptables to build a firewall. there are lots of docs and tutorial out there.. search or .

one other thing: anonymous ftp and user-based ftp are 2 different things... the default ftp server in rh71 is wu-ftp , i believe. compare your needs with other s/w like ncftpd or others.
