Receive/send data from drone to laptop on ground

Hello everyone,

I am mounting a Raspberry Pi2 on a quadcopter and need to send data from my laptop to the Pi and receive data from the Pi to my laptop. I have gone over some of the tutorials, but I am a bit confused.
Any tip/guidance on how to receive/transmit data wirelessly is appreciated.
