reading drive a: ? how


file manager show /meida/floppy:/a/ but does not show any files just . and ..

if i log a new object and go to find folder and look on left at floppy i see all the files on the floppy

i need 2 files of this msdos formated floppy to install a program in suse 9.1
how do i get the files into linux?

To have access to floppy content it must be mounted. If the directory the files should be in is empty it usually means the floppy is not mounted. Look into your /etc/fstab to see where's the floppy mounted. You should have something like
Code:
/dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy auto defaults 0 0
The directory in bold is the directory you're searching for. Then check if you have your files inside. If not, run
mount thedirectoryname
It should be then fixed and your shoudl have access to your files.
