Quotas on Linux????

Hi, is there any way of specifying different quota grace periods for different users? like i have a user nancy who should have a grace period of 0seconds. On the other hand, I have another user george who should be given a grace period of 10 days to clear up his excess space usage. Could somebody help?

I believe edquota -t <uid> will allow you to set the graceperiod for a specific user.

You also might want to check out the Quota Mini-Howto

Hi,

Really appreciate your timely reply. I tried the command

edquota -t 504.

I have a user anand with that uid. it didn't work. Linux shows me the command usage message. Checked the link that you had provided too. It didn't help either. please expedite and let me know

Regards
