No, 'make clean' just removes all the intermediate object files that are created during a normal 'make'. Its purpose is to clean up all the already-compiled files so you can 'make' everything from scratch again.
make uninstall will uninstall the program (provided the rule exists, it should normally. make clean will clean up the objects and stuff and make distclean will remove everyhting so it's just like you freshly downloaded and untared the archive
