iam using mandrake 10 rc1 with kernel 2.6

anyway, sometimes when i open a lot of applications, some of them would just terminate for no reason. There is no error messages whats so ever,, they just disappear and i have to restart them. after awhile if i open too many apps, again it happens

any idea whats going on?

youre using an unstable version of Mandrake. I suppose anything can happen. Although most programs try to give you an error message, some won't. What applications were you running? Also, what desktop environment (or windows manager) are you using? Next time try to provide as much detail as you can about a certain problem.

Cheers,

Do you have a more stable version (maybe 9.2) that you can try to recreate the same conditions with? Almost certainly, it has to do with the fact you're using a Test release candidate. Another remote possibility is your Kde might be having problems running non-QT programs but I have never heard of this happening with a lot of different programs.
